Thanks for putting up with my blatant flag waving over the last couple weeks. Believe me, it has been an epic celebration of sport here in Vancouver and in Whistler as well.
The Men's hockey final was something that caused our entire nation to hold its breath. The outcome was true to the golden narrative that emerged in the final days of the games as our athletes won a record number of gold medals for a single country. We did not win the most medals. The USA did, and also set a record in doing so. It is a fine outcome given their 300 million to our 30 million.
